The Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation (ISN) main web page, created by the U.S. Department of State, describes the purpose of the Bureau. The site states that among other duties, it spearheads efforts to promote international consensus on weapons of mass destruction (WMD), addresses WMD proliferation threats posed by terrorist groups, and supports efforts of the international community to protect against the threat of WMD by terrorists.
Below the description are several recent news reports coming from the ISN. To the left is a menu offering links to several other ISN sites such as treaties and agreements dealing with nuclear weapons, recent pertinent photographs, and an archive of reports and treaties from the years 1997 to 2000. Near the top on the right side is a menu to "Find it by:", so that one can search for information by Topic, Country, Publication Type, Speaker, or Date.
